My Sprinkles!

So after my family and I devoured a can of BBQ pringles, I was able to cover the can so that I may use it as BRAIN SPRINKLES. It was so easy to do.

Dismissal Tip

Here is a great tip I received from The Mailbox. Keep a an empty tissue box full of plastic grocery bags near the door for those students who forget their folder and/or backpack. We all know this happens at least once a week. They can quickly grab a bag to carry all their things home. It is also a great way to reuse all the bags we collect when we shop.

Ocean Triorama

Soon we will be learning about animal habitats. My team and I will be teaching about the ocean, rain forest, desert and the arctic. We each picked a habitat and are creating a triorama with the kids. So I chose the ocean. Here is what I came up with.

Brain Sprinkles Anyone?

I hope to post a trick/tip on a weekly basis. So here is a little trick I read somewhere that I plan to implement in my classroom when I go back in January. It is called BRAIN SPRINKLES. You will need to cover a Pringle's can with foil, wrapping paper, contact paper or anything you may have around the house. Put two spoon fulls of  rice in the can and glue on the lid. When you want children to focus on an activity, tell them you are going to "sprinkle them with brain sprinkles!" This will get their attention. Here is a nice looking one I found online wrapped with wrapping paper.

Now I need to run out and buy some Pringles!
